How to find the perfect concealer for you

What is the key to flawless, perfect make up that rivals the work of the pros?  It is, to a great extent, determined by the quality of the products, and the base, or starting point.   Most of us, through age, or skin conditions, have imperfections present.  The key to a perfect finish is starting with a clean slate.  This means treat and conceal the problem areas. (A good key is to use a concealer with salicylic acid, which is a common ingredient in acne medication). But, just how do you pick a concealer?

We will check that out in this brief, but informative post.

A fresh, clean canvass

The pros suggest going to your beauty counter with a clean moisturized face and pick out several shades of foundation and apply just above the jawline.  Now, stand in a bright light, or go outside and  see which disappears most naturally into the skin.  The concealer should be just about one shade lighter than your foundation.

For finishing touches, use a  powder to set and finish off the look. Remember, apply all products lightly, especially the concealer, as make up applied too heavily will cause caking and creasing around the problems areas.
