More tips to keep your skin moisturized and young looking

Our skin is so important because it performs numerous vital functions and is a reflection of our overall health and well being. Due to these facts, our skin condition can make us look younger and more attractive, so regular maintenance and diligent care is essential. With these things in mind, it is important to fight off dryness by staying well hydrated during these winter months of dry heat and freezing temperatures.

This post will give more tips on keeping your skin in good condition this winter.

How to keep your skin glowing this winter

1. Hydrate your body with plenty of water and high anti-oxidant green tea. Winter time really can dry out out from the huge variation in temperature such as the freezing temperatures outside to the oftentimes hot, dry heat that we are subjected to in our homes.

2. Eat a diet high in raw foods and omega-3 fatty acids which produce a hydrating effect from the inside out.  (Remember the axiom that beauty also starts from the inside out). And, as you probably know, antioxidants also help fight aging by helping us battle free radicals.

3. Remember not to bathe in hot water.  This can dry out the skin.

4. Moisturize immediately after bathing with body  butter that contain shea butter or cocoa butter.  These ingredients provide longer lasting hydration.

5.  Cleanse the skin nightly to remove toxins and to provide moisturization.

6. Don't exfoliate too much because this can irritate the skin which defeats the goal of healthy looking skin.

Hope these tips help in the quest for healthier skin.

Please feel free to leave additional suggestions as to beauty ideas to add to the regimen.
