Here are some great tips to accomplish that goal.
Exfoliate
Slough off the old dead skin by exfoliation with either a weekly body scrub or daily with a lotion that contains alpha-hydroxy acid. There are so many varieties to choose from! If you love natural, go to your local Whole Foods or Trader Joe's to get a great product that is virtually chemical free.
Bronzers and Sunscreen
Have you experimented with bronzers yet? Instead of a blush, you might add a wholesome and natural glow to your skin with a bronzer. Don't forget to use a lightweight sunscreen to protect your face and body from UVA and UVB rays. Such sun damage can contribute to hyperpigmentation, a problem that many women are plagued with in middle age.Heels, elbows and toes
These are some problem areas for women with darker skin. Ugh, ashiness! Try using a coconut oil to those areas to soften, moisturize and smooth.
Hydration
Don't forget to drink lots of water this time of year to prevent dehydration and fluid loss.
